Albina Grčić (* 6. Februar 1999 in Split), besser bekannt unter ihrem Vornamen Albina, ist eine kroatische Sängerin, die ihr Land beim Eurovision Song Contest 2021 mit ihrem Lied Tick-Tock in Rotterdam vertreten wird. Sie lebt bei ihrer Großmutter, die sie seit ihrer Kindheit unterstützt. Sie nahm sechs Jahre lang Klavierunterricht an einer Musikschule und begann als Achtjährige bei den „Music Talents“, einem musikpädagogischen Projekt für Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene, mitzumachen. Dabei entdeckte sie ihre Liebe zur Musik. Am 13. Februar 2021 gewann sie den kroatischen Vorentscheid.

Über das Lied "Tick-Tock"

Tick-Tock ist ein Popsong, mit dem die Sängerin Albina Grčić Kroatien beim Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam vertreten wird. Er wurde von Branimir Mihaljević komponiert, der Text stammt von Max Cinnamon und Tihana Buklijaš Bakić. Tick-Tock ist eine Up-Tempo-Nummer. Der Beat setzt in der Mitte der ersten Strophe ein. Der Refrain ist in der ersten Wiederholung alleinstehend und wird daraufhin mit einem Pre- und Post-Chorus umschlossen. Das 23. Dora-Festival fand am 13. Februar 2021 in der Marino Cvetkovic Sports Hall in Opatija statt und war die kroatische Vorentscheidung für den Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. Zuerst kündigte die kroatische Rundfunkanstalt Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT) im Juni 2020 an, dass der Sieger vom Festival 2020 Damir Kedžo kein automatisches Startrecht beim ESC erhält. Vom 26.10.20 bis zum 10.12.20 konnten Beiträge bei HRT eingereicht werden. Lediglich kroatische Staatsbürger durften Beiträge einreichen, ebenso mussten diese mind. 16 Jahre alt sein. #eurovision #song #contest #croatia

    Der 65. Eurovision Song Contest soll im Zeitraum vom 18. bis zum 22. Mai 2021 in der Ahoy-Arena in der niederländischen Stadt Rotterdam stattfinden. Nachdem die Niederlande den Eurovision Song Contest 2019 gewinnen konnten und die Veranstaltung 2020 in Rotterdam wegen der COVID-19-Pandemie abgesagt wurde, soll der Eurovision Song Contest im Jahr 2021 nun dort stattfinden.
