Preselection

Some of Azerbaijan's representatives were determined via a national preliminary competition, with the entries largely selected internally. Only in 2008 and 2013 were the artist and title determined together. In 2009 and since 2015, however, Azerbaijan has dispensed with a national preliminary decision and has since selected both artist and song internally. Nevertheless, the country used different formats to determine the performer in previous years. #eurovision #song #contest #2021 #azerbaijan #esc #national
