Preselection

Until 2013, all Bulgarian entries were selected in preliminary public competitions held under different systems. Since 2016, all entries were selected internally. From 2005 to 2007, a semi-final was held before the final. There a jury of experts decided, the final was decided by telephone voting. In 2005, there were accusations that Kaffe had already been determined as the winner in advance, which is why the duo Slavi Trifonov and Sofi Marinova refused to sing their contribution in the live broadcast (they nevertheless achieved second place). #bulgaria #esc #2021 #eurovision
