Der 60. Eurovision Song Contest fand vom 19. bis 23. Mai 2015 in der Wiener Stadthalle in Wien statt. Das Motto des Wettbewerbs lautete Building Bridges (englisch für Brücken bauen). Unter dem Titel Unser Song für Österreich fand am 5. März 2015 die deutsche Vorentscheidung zum Eurovision Song Contest 2015 statt. Als Sieger wurde Andreas Kümmert mit seinem Song Heart of Stone gewählt. Er verzichtete jedoch auf die Teilnahme am ESC im Mai, womit die Zweitplatzierte Ann Sophie mit ihrem Lied Black Smoke nachrückte und Deutschland vertrat.

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016 war die 46. Ausgabe von Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, dem Musikwettbewerb, der Dänemarks Beiträge für den Eurovision Song Contest auswählt. Die Veranstaltung fand am 13. Februar 2016 im Forum Horsens in Horsens statt und wurde von Jacob Riising und Annette Heick moderiert, während Hilda Heick aus dem Green Room Beiträge moderierte.
Im Superfinale wurde der Gewinner Lighthouse X, ausschließlich durch ein Publikumsvoting ermittelt.

Tousin Chiza (born January 1, 2002) is a Swedish pop singer. He performs under the stage name Tusse and won the 15th season of the Swedish casting show Idol. Tousin Chiza was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As a child, he fled his homeland. He came to Sweden without his parents and lived his first years in Nora and Västerås before finally moving in with a family in the small village of Kullsbjörken. Tusse will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam.
