Eurovision Song Contest Estonia 2021

Uku Suviste is an Estonian singer, singer-songwriter, music producer and pianist. In addition to competitions such as the Russian New Wave Festival, Uku has also participated in the Russian version of The Voice, where he was eliminated in the semi-finals on the team of former ESC participant Ani Lorak. In 2017, Suviste participated in Eesti Laul for the first time, but was eliminated in the semi-finals with the song Supernatural. Then in 2020 he participated for the 3rd time. With the song Suviste was able to win in the end. In 2021, he was again able to prevail in the Estonian preliminary.

Preselection

The 13th Eesti Laul took place from 18.02.21 to 06.03.21 in Tallinn and was the Estonian preliminary for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. Host broadcaster is as always Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR). The singer Uku Suviste won with his song The Lucky One. Due to the cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the winner of Eesti Lauls 2020 Uku Suviste got a guaranteed starting place in the semi-finals of Eesti Lauls 2021. The 65th Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to take place at the Ahoy Arena in the Dutch city of Rotterdam between May 18 and 22, 2021. After the Netherlands won the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest and the 2020 event in Rotterdam was cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Eurovision Song Contest is now scheduled to take place there in 2021.
