Rafał Brzozowski (* 8. Juni 1981 in Warschau) ist ein polnischer Sänger, Fernsehmoderator und ehemaliger Wrestler. Er wird Polen beim ESC 2021 vertreten. Im Alter von 10 Jahren begann er Klavier und Gitarre zu lernen. 2006 gewann er die Bronzemedaille der polnischen Universitätsmeisterschaften im Wrestling, musste seine Sportkarriere jedoch aufgrund einer Wirbelsäulenverletzung beenden. The Ride (englisch für „Die Fahrt“) ist ein englischsprachiger Popsong, der von einem Team bestehend aus Joakim Övrenius, Thomas Karlsson, Clara Rubensson und Johan Mauritzson geschrieben wurde. Mit diesem Titel wird Rafał Brzozowski Polen beim ESC 2021 vertreten. Die Up-Tempo-Nummer ist in einer Instrumentierung der für die 80er-Jahre üblichen Synthiepop gehalten. Von 2006-2009 fand Piosenka dla Europy als Vorentscheidung statt. 2010 sowie 2011 fand die Vorentscheidung unter den Titel Krajowe eliminacje statt. 2014 und 2015 wurde die Beiträge wieder intern ausgewählt. Von 2016-2018 wurden allerdings wieder alle polnischen Beiträge in einer Vorentscheidung unter dem Titel Krajowe eliminacje ausgewählt. 2019 wurde erstmals seit vier Jahren wieder Lied und Interpret intern ausgewählt. 2020 fand mit der Sendung Szansa na Sukces Eurowizja ein neues Vorentscheidsformat statt, welches über drei Halbfinale ging. #eurovision #song #contest #2021 #poland #esc

    Der 65. Eurovision Song Contest soll im Zeitraum vom 18. bis zum 22. Mai 2021 in der Ahoy-Arena in der niederländischen Stadt Rotterdam stattfinden. Nachdem die Niederlande den Eurovision Song Contest 2019 gewinnen konnten und die Veranstaltung 2020 in Rotterdam wegen der COVID-19-Pandemie abgesagt wurde, soll der Eurovision Song Contest im Jahr 2021 nun dort stattfinden.
